Now a major player in the high definition market thanks to its partnership with WVXU 91.7, WOXY radio is back stronger than ever in the Cincinnati market. Soapbox had a chance to take a look inside the studios as well as talk to the players who continue to make the magic happen at the Future of Rock and Roll.

Tucked into a corner of the Essex neighborhood sits the American Sign Museum - home to over 3,000 signs of by-gone eras including hand-lettered Sinatra and Charo show cards,  chasing light bulbs, radio wave neon as well as a collection of sign-making equipment, materials and tools, salesman samples, and three-dimensional architectural models.

You can't discuss Columbus arts and culture without mentioning the Short North, a pedestrian-friendly community in the heart of it all. This is where you’ll find the city’s best galleries, bars, restaurants and clubs, all tucked into an architecturally appealing landscape.

The catchphrase today is Buy Local. You won’t find a better place in Columbus to do just that than at the North Market, a 100-year-old European-style public market. This centrally located bazaar attracts huge crowds thanks to the ideal mix of fresh provisions, prepared foods and retail wares.

Bakery Gingham is the quintessential neighborhood bakery. Except that this one looks, feels and tastes like the inside of a Technicolor cupcake. Folks swarm to this German Village bakeshop for designer cupcakes, custom cakes and all matter of heavenly sweets. Drop by for a big box of smiles.

For nearly a century, Clevelanders have done their food shopping at the West Side Market. The architecturally stunning space is home to 100s of vendors who peddle everything from lamb chops to lima beans. The market serves as the anchor to the wonderful urban enclave known as Ohio City.
