Cleveland Art Scene

Often called “One Perfect Mile,” University Circle is the epicenter of Cleveland’s robust art scene. In just one square mile art fans will find the matchless Cleveland Museum of Art, the renowned Cleveland Institute of Art, and the avant-garde Museum of Contemporary Art. But art thrives outside the Circle too, most notably in trendy Tremont, where scores of funky galleries rub shoulders with gourmet bistros. Over in historic Little Italy, eclectic studios share cobblestone lanes with third-generation bakeries. Perhaps taking their creative cue from thriving PlayhouseSquare, downtown’s galleries are every bit as admired as those beyond the urban core.
