Cincinnati Dining Scene

Food-obsessed visitors to Cincinnati typically have a chili parlor at the top of their must-visit list. While we’ve got nothing against a dreamy three-way, there’s more to the Queen City dining scene than chili and cheese topped spaghetti. Tucked away in unexpected places are hot new bistros and uber-cozy cafes. Cincy diners feast not only on gourmet burgers, but also high-flying Italian, farm-to-table American, and contemporary Cuban. Locals know to hit Northside’s Blue Jay for breakfast, downtown’s Via Vite for dinner, and Newport’s Hofbrauhaus for a raucous good time. Feel free to have your chili, just leave room for the rest.

Insider Profile

Meet George 'Loki' Williams, a freelance web content producer and social media consultant. Originally from New Orleans, Williams and his wife currently reside in the Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati.

As founder of Cincinnati E.A.T.S. (Epicureans About Town Society), a social dining club, Clint Watson created a novel way to support his town’s independent restaurant scene. Every few months, the group takes over an entire restaurant for an evening of food, drinks, socializing and philanthropy. Here, Watson shares a few of his favorite spots.
