Cincinnati Art Scene

The art scene is heating up in Cincy. New directors at the Contemporary Arts Center and the Cincinnati Art Museum have made wild improvements to their institutions. Even the stuffy old Taft has adapted to current trends, adding forward-thinking exhibitions and whimsical festivities to its programming. In turn, scores of small but captivating new galleries are popping up like so many Monet irises. Perhaps surprisingly so, art pilgrims are finding themselves in Cincinnati, exploring neighborhoods that most locals would never bother to visit. The draw? Fresh, relevant and stimulating art in the unlikeliest of places. Come explore for yourself.
