Columbus Music Scene

If you hadn’t heard, Ohio’s capital is a college town, fueled by the youthful energy of 50,000 Buckeyes. Much of that energy naturally spills over to the local music scene, where on any given night the clubs up and down High Street teem with zealous fans. It is from these raucous dens that stars like Dwight Yoakam, New Bomb Turks and Bow Wow have emerged. Acts both homegrown and imported take the stage at tiny Bernie's Distillery, roomy Newport Music Hall, and massive Lifestyle Communities Pavilion. Metal heads adore the Alrosa Villa, indie fans hit the subterranean Basement, and hipsters hold up the walls at the always cool Carabar.
