Toledo

John Denver had it all wrong when he claimed in song that being in Toledo was like being nowhere at all. Far from it, present-day Toledo boasts attractions small and large, from quirky pie diners to world-class museums. Popping up in the shadows of those museums are indie art galleries, off-beat shops and seasonal markets. M.A.S.H’s Corporal Max Klinger pined for his beloved Tony Packo’s, a hot-dog joint still going strong after 75 years. Jazz is king in Northwest Ohio, and Toledo shows it off in style at swank clubs around town. For family-fun in the sun, little can beat a minor league ball game at Fifth Third Field, home to the loveable Mud Hens.
