Columbus

While home to Ohio State University, one of the largest campuses in the world, there’s more to Columbus than Big Ten sports. Boasting a sizeable geographic footprint, Ohio’s capital is blessed with scores of charming suburbs, all begging to be explored. Touring the galleries of the Short North is an absolute must for art lovers, while foodies make a point to sample the culinary riches of German Village and Grandview. That youthful supply of coeds keeps area music clubs packed with up-and-coming bands and the groupies who love them. For sports that don’t happen to bleed scarlet and gray, there is professional soccer, professional hockey, and a minor league baseball team that plays in a brand new stadium.

As guitar tech for bands like Sheryl Crow and Foo Fighters, Andy Harrison spends a good amount of time on the road. But when he’s back home in Columbus you can likely find him on stage or in the audience at any number of local clubs.
